Urban Echoes started with a simple field recording session. DJ Pavement spent an entire day walking through Manhattan with a portable recorder, capturing the sounds that most of us tune out—subway announcements, construction noise, distant sirens, fragments of conversation. Back in the studio, these recordings became the raw material for something unexpected.
